We also have designed and installed bespoke vehicle workshops and valeting bays across the UK. One of the most innovative projects we have recently completed used a temporary building to create a new duel sided valeting bay for Skoda. Additionally, the workshop provides the optimum, clean environment for car detailing and preparation, prior to customer collection. Comprising a wet and dry side, the new valeting bay makes a perfect, enclosed wash bay with a separate dry side for weather critical vehicle preparation, such as paint correction, polishing and applying ceramic coating. In addition, we have installed a three bay, dry valeting building for a leading automotive group, increasing their workshop capacity and vehicle presentation.

In most cases, yes you will need planning permission for a workshop. There are some exceptions when planning may not be required and our feature on planning permission explains these. We can support you with the planning application, don’t let this put you off!
A temporary workshop can be used for a wide range of applications. From traditional vehicle and machinery maintenance to manufacturing facilities and product finishing workshops and everything in between. The wide range of specification options mean you can design a workshop for your chosen application.
We can install a workshop on almost any ground surface without the need for complex, expensive and disruptive foundations. The best surfaces include concrete, tarmac and compact hardcore. Even if you have a sloped site, we can engineer a solution.
If you need to maintain and repair HGVs, a temporary building will be a great option. We can create a workshop to accommodate all types and sizes of vehicles. A standard articulated vehicle or curtain side trailer has a floor to roof height of around 5m. A 6m leg height will provide enough clearance at the eaves to accommodate a HGV.
The terminology of semi-permanent and temporary is often used interchangeably, leading to confusion. Temporary buildings are portable, de-mountable and movable structures. This gives you a large amount of flexibility and the ability to relocate or rent a temporary building. Generally, a semi-permanent building will have a solid roof and is not easily re-located.
