Our design service includes undertaking local wind and weather calculations to ensure our design complies with BS6399 standards for snow and wind loading and all UK Building Regulations.

Temporary buildings are generally constructed in modular “bays” which provide the length. These are typically manufactured in 5m bay lengths. Eave heights of up to 10m can be achieved and the span, or width, can reach 40m across. We can design a bespoke building to fit on your site to maximise your available space.

A temporary building can be installed on most ground surfaces with minimal preparation and cost. Depending on the ground conditions, we use several anchorage methods including resin anchors, steel pins or when we are unable to penetrate the ground or ballast blocks. We will conduct a pull test to determine if groundworks are required for your building.

There are three main walling options, depending on if you require an insulated or non-insulated building. Firstly, industrial grade, tensioned PVC which is ideal for bulk storage and fast installation. Secondly, box profile steel panels will provide a robust industrial finish which is often used for warehousing and workshop buildings. Both of these options are non-insulated. However, if you need an insulated temporary building, sandwich panel walling will provide high levels of insulation. These buildings are perfect for storing temperature sensitive products or providing a safe and comfortable working environment.

We use a high quality, flame retardant, tear resistant, industrial grade PVC and our manufacturing partner has specialist PCV facility which process almost 3,000,000 sqm of PCV every year. The PVC is white and translucent, so that there is sufficient daylight entering the building to provide ambient light.. We can provide the PVC in a wide range of RAL colours if required. Again, there are three main options. Firstly, a single layer PVC roof which is excellent many applications. Secondly, an insulated roof liner which adds additional thermal performance to the structure. Finally, an inflated insulated roof. This coupled with the sandwich panel walling provides a fully insulated building.

In addition an we can fit an anti-condensation membrane below the roof to channel moisture outside of the sidewall, protecting goods and equipment inside the building. It is comprised of PVC foil, reinforced with a polyester mesh.

One of the key considerations when specifying a new temporary building or semi-permanent structure is access doors. You can select roller shutter doors, sliding gates and pedestrian doors for your building. These are provided in standard sizes or can be made to measure to accommodate plant and machinery. Doors can be specified as manual or electrically operated. Access doors meet all appropriate fire resistance and thermal insulation regulations. We can also install rapid access roller doors which are also great solutions for temporary warehouse buildings where speed and efficiency are key to operational performance.

We provide a full range of mechanical and electrical options for your building. The specification options include lighting, alarms, CCTV, data cabling and ducting. In addition, we can supply a complete heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC) system. This will be precisely engineered for your building to keep it cool in summer and warm in winter. If your application involves fumes, extraction systems can be installed into the building. All our buildings comply with UK building regulations and offer exceptional quality standards and durability. The specification options really are comparable to a traditional building but without the cost.
