Overflow Storage Building Installed In 3 Days

At a glance

Size:

13m x 15m on a 3m high leg

Location:

Scotland

Sector:

Manufacturing / Logistics

The Requirement

Our client, a world leading supplier of components for doors and windows, started their building design using our interactive configurator. They needed additional overflow storage capacity with forklift access at their site. The initial design concept was for a 10m x 20m x 3m structure with industrial steel sides.

The Solutions

The structure was built using a high-grade aluminium clear-span frame featuring four-channel extrusions (169mm x 97mm x 3mm). Designed and manufactured under CE certification and ISO-controlled conditions, the building was engineered to withstand a snow loading of 25 kg/m² and a wind loading: 28 m/s. due to the exposed, rural location in Scotland. To provide long-term durability, we installed T35 trapezoidal steel cladding panels to the sidewalls, the interior finish included a galvanised protective coating.

We worked with the Site Manager to minimise disruption by carefully planning deliveries. The site remained fully operational during the build, allowing “business as normal” for the client during the efficient , three day installation.
