Our client was awarded a new contract to service and maintain a feet of local authority minibuses. The new contract required additional space to scale up their operational capacity, needing a structure that was large enough to accommodate the vehicles securely, with sufficient space to work and store equipment. The client required a rapid solution, including building design and installation as the contract start date was just 5 weeks away!
F&L Temporary Buildings visited the site and provided a range of suitable solutions including different specification options. Our solution included flashings and UPVC guttering to provide a high quality, weatherproof structure. A 3.5m x 4.5m high roller shutter door was designed to provide easy access for larger vehicles together with a pedestrian door to ensure Building Regulations compliance. The client had an existing concrete pad in place with a sunken maintenance pit. Our solution integrated into their busy site seamlessly despite the location of the structure which had very little surrounding space. A small footprint solution was ideal in this instance.
The workshop building also features industrial grade T35 Trapezoidal steel cladding with a galvanised coating to ensure a long lifespan. It was secured using resin anchorage which negated the need of complex foundations and enabled us to complete the installation within just 4 days.

This project demonstrates the flexibility and speed of our temporary workshops. They are quickly becoming the “go to” solution for the automotive industry, providing a high quality building in a fraction of the time compared to a traditional building. The rapid installation has enabled the client to quickly meet the the needs of their new contract.
