Loading Bay Canopy Helps Pharmaceutical Business

A loading bay canopy solution was identified by the client, and they initially designed their building using our interactive building configurator. We visited site to understand more about their requirements and business operations to develop two bespoke options for consideration. We provided advice and design expertise to settle on a 10m wide x 10m long canopy with a 5.3m leg height. The canopy provides the height to accommodate HGVs, with a ridge height of 7.02m and the width to cover two existing roller shutter doors.

The canopy was precisely measured, designed and engineered to integrate perfectly with their existing building. To create a seal, we installed a bespoke Alu trim, RAL colour matched to the walls to bridge the gap between the new and existing structure.

It was secured using chemical anchors into an existing concrete base without the need for any foundations or groundwork. This kept costs down and enabled our in-house team to complete the installation within 5 days with minimal disruption.

The bespoke RAL colour matched roof, anthracite grey T35 trapezoidal panelling and matching apex has created a stylish canopy that seamlessly blends in with their building’s two tone cladding and the wider estate. The open-ended canopy was finished with a large 160mm profile PVC rainwater system and 110mm downpipes.
