As a result of successfully supplying temporary warehouse solutions on an adjacent site, Field and Lawn were contracted to design, supply and build an industrial warehouse solution for a chemical engineering plant.

The Requirement

As we were operating on a large and operational chemical engineering facility, the strictest health and safety procedures had to be adhered to during the warehouse construction. Together with robust risk and method statements and extensive site inductions for all operatives construction still went ahead safely.

The Solutions

Without delay a single skin steel paneled warehouse structure was designed and supplied to provide the required storage space onsite. Installed on a concrete pad by our skilled operatives, installation was fast and efficient.

In addition, a large roller door was required for forklift access to carry goods in and out of the warehouse space. Furthermore, 2no fire doors were added to the structure as per the clients requirement.

Overall our bespoke warehouses are proving to be a popular solution for increasing storage space and warehouse capacity onsite for many businesses. Due to their flexibility, our structures can be linked directly to an existing loading bay or warehouse building. Additionally, they can even be installed as a standalone industrial building.

Engineered to any specification, our warehouse design is constructed to meet the relevant BS6399 and Eurocodes for wind and snow loading. Therefore they offer a quick, cost-effective, and flexible solution to create more efficient use of existing industrial space.

Aluminium clear-span structure with 4 channel aluminium extrusion beam, 5m bay length, 22-degree roof pitch, snow loading capacity of 75kg/m2 and wind loading of 28 m/s.

Roof:

Single skin PVC material roof 650g /m2, non-flammable, fully tensioned.

Walling:

Single sheet steel cladding

Doors:

4.8m x 5m electrically operated roller shutter

Guttering:

40m (20m to each side) UPVC gutters to eaves of structure with downpipes

Lighting:

12no x LED eco flood lights 50w
