In summary, we were approached by a large Tier 1 construction contractor to supply a temporary additional storage building to be located onsite at a long term infrastructure project.
To begin with the project for HS2 required a large, 5m integrated open sided loading bay with an internal store room along with internal pallet racking for additional storage space. The valuable extra storage space will be used in order to store items needed throughout their build programme.
Overall the additional storage building was manufactured in a bespoke 15m x 32m size allowing the client to maximise the space available on site.
Generally, temporary buildings can offer a fast and cost effective solution for large construction and infrastructure projects. Likewise this includes material storage, security such as gate buildings and welfare compounds with offices that can even be partitioned for temporary site meeting rooms. In addition, a large 4.6 x 4.6m manually operated sliding door was included for secure access.
