A prefabricated warehouse building will instantly increase your space without disruption or down time. They are an ideal solution for all types of storage requirements and they make excellent warehouses.

A prefabricated warehouse will instantly increase your storage capacity without the cost, disruption and time associated with traditional construction. A prefabricated building, sometimes referred to as a prefab is a robust structure that is manufactured off-site, typically in a factory environment. Once the components have been produced, they are delivered to site and assembled.
This means that disruption, downtime and project build times are minimal and quality is controlled at every stage of the manufacturing process. Ultimately, giving you a high quality storage building suitable for a wide range of storage applications.
If a prefabricated solution sounds like what you are looking for, our knowledgeable team are here to help. We provide a complete turnkey solution starting with initial site consultation. This allows us to understand your needs and discuss the best options for you.
One of the key benefits of a prefabricated warehouse solution is their simplicity. We have a dedicated temporary building design team to bring your building to life. This includes reviewing your ground surface to recommend the most efficient anchorage solution and undertaking the necessary wind and snow loadings. We will also provide a free design drawing based on your chosen specification options. providing you with a well-engineered solution that is compliant with regulations and ready to install.
The manufacturing process is precise, fast and focused on quality. Our manufacturing facility is truly a state-of-the-art operation using the latest robotics, CNC laser cutting and high frequency PCV welding technology. In terms of production volume, it produces around 500 prefabricated buildings every year that are delivered around the globe.
Once the building has been fabricated it can be delivered directly to your site. We see it as installation, rather than construction. Installation is quick and we can typically install a prefab warehouse in under a week. We use very little plant which means disruption is kept to a minimum. Furthermore, there is no reliance on “wet trades” such as plastering and brickwork which is costly and time consuming. This is where we see most of the time gains and cost savings compared to a traditional construction method. A prefabricated solution is around 70% cheaper by comparison.

The key difference between our prefabricated storage buildings and a steel structure warehouse is the frame. We use a durable yet lightweight aluminium frame. The benefit of this is that the aluminium frame is lighter than a steel frame, meaning we can install a prefabricated warehouse on most ground surfaces without the need for complex, disruptive and time consuming foundations.
The aluminium frame is also very low maintenance. Whereas a steel frame is more susceptible to rust and corrosion over the years and you may need to treat the structure with specialist coatings to extend the lifespan of a steel structure. We can achieve the same finish by using a steel box profile sheeting to clad the structure.
The difference between a modular building and a prefabricated building is that a modular building is completely assembled off-site and typically craned into position. Whereas a pre-fabricated building is delivered in ready made components and assembled in sections to complete the installation. As a modular building is delivered in its complete form, there are size limitations for delivery. Prefabricated warehouses are manufactured in “bays” which provide the length. These are typically manufactured in 5m lengths. Eave heights of up to 10m can be achieved and the span, or width, can reach 40m across. Larger spans can be achieved by linking structures together, providing a solution for business large and small.

Our prefabricated warehouse buildings are flexible and can be specified to your exact requirements. They are available in a range of building types with various cladding options, from durable PCV, industrial steel to fully insulated solutions. In addition to the cladding options, we can provide a complete fit out for your prefabricated warehouse. This includes a range of roller shutter door options for easy access and warehouse racking if required. Heating and a full electrical fit out for data, alarms and lighting is also available.
Quality and durability is at the core of our approach. Our prefabricated buildings comply with UK Building Regulations and are engineered to local wind and weather loadings (BS6399). The building itself has a long lifespan and can be in place for 20+ years. Our in-house build team are highly trained and have a range of qualifications. As a business, we also hold CHAS and construction line accreditation giving you piece of mind our safety standards are some of the best in the business.
A further benefit of prefabricated warehouse buildings is their flexibility. We use a durable aluminium frame which provides the optimum longevity. One of the key differences between a steel warehouse building and our prefabricated solution is the frame material. Due to the aluminium frame, if your storage requirements change, it is possible to extend your warehouse or re-locate it to a different site. Additionally, if you need to scale down your storage, it is possible to sell the structure on the second hard market. Purchasing a prefabricated warehouse is just as flexible with a range of options to hire, finance or buy the structure outright. This provides a unique level of flexibility for growing business to flex and change, without significant upfront expenditure.
We have specifically focused on warehousing and storage buildings in this article, however the applications for prefabricated solutions are almost endless. We have provided prefabricated workshops, processing facilities, commercial buildings and even a temporary gym! Demonstrating the flexibility of our solutions and our collaborative approach to engineer a solution for any application.
We would be delighted to provide upfront and honest advice to help you get your project off the ground. From advice on planning permission to explain the range of specification options available to you we are here to help. You won’t get the hard sell from us, just knowledgeable insight and expertise.
