Is it cheaper to build modular?
Modular construction is typically cheaper than traditional construction due to standardisation. Our warehouses can be supplied with steel, insulated sandwich panels or industrial PVC sides. These are manufactured in 5 bay lengths in a state-of-the-art, ISO accredited factory. Widths of up to 40m can be manufactured from a single frame. If you need larger widths, this can be achieved be linking the structures together.
The price is dependant on how you choose to specify your building and we can engineer a solution that fits within your budget to provide a solution for your needs.
The manufacturing process reduces the reliance on wet trades such as bricklayers, plasterers and other traditional trades, we all know how expensive they are! In addition, our modular warehouse buildings use aluminium frames which means they can be installed on most ground surfaces and don’t need complex foundations or expensive groundwork, again saving costs.
This makes modular buildings cheaper than a traditional building. As a rule of thumb, our warehouses are around 70% cheaper to install compared to a traditional building.
How much does a modular warehouse cost?
As with most things, the larger and more complex the design, the more you’ll pay to cover labour and materials. However, with a modular warehouse you’re in complete control of the costs. Once the order is placed, there are no hidden costs or material price rises which shields you from the risk of material availability and cost increases that are so common with traditional construction methods.

Technically, our solution is pre-fabricated as the structural components are manufactured (or pre-fabricated) off site. This enables us to create larger structures in situ. A modular solution is generally transported by road which limits the size options available to you.
Specification options in detail
The options are virtually limitless. if you need a fully insulated warehouse with a complete HVAC system, we can deliver it. We can also partition the building to provide a warehouse office space, or staff welfare if required. However, the most common options are roller shutter doors, CCTV, lighting and fire alarms. a modular warehouse can be specified to the same high standards as a traditional building. Other specification options include anti-condensation membranes, guttering, flashing and bespoke internal partitioning.
